Salesforce Opens Claudeforce
Beta, Debuts AgentExchange
Skills Marketplace at
Dreamforce

The Dreamforce 2026 keynote week in San Francisco puts 37 prebuilt sales skills and a point-and-click agent marketplace in reach of any team on Salesforce or Claude — with Claudeforce's open beta expected this month and AgentExchange demos running from September 15.

Dreamforce 2026 opens in San Francisco today with two headline moves that quietly reshape what “AI for sales” costs to install: Claudeforce enters open beta, and the AgentExchange Skills Marketplace begins its first public showings at Moscone West at 8:30 AM PDT. Both arrive as productized commodities rather than integration projects, which is the actual story.

Claudeforce, announced August 26 as a Salesforce and Anthropic partnership, ships as a “Salesforce in Claude” plugin carrying 37 prebuilt sales skills, meeting prep, deal health review, pipeline review, email drafting, CRM record updates. The distribution model is the point. Per Salesforce’s release, “every seller on the team gets access from day one — no per-user setup, no new permissions model to build, no re-auditing account by account.” One admin connection, whole team lit up. That’s a very different procurement conversation than the last three years of AI sales pilots, which typically required a sales engineer, a permissions audit, and a quarter of change management.

Markets read the framing immediately. CNBC reported Salesforce shares rose 12% in extended trading after the announcement and fiscal Q2 results, framing the partnership as Benioff’s response to “SaaSpocalypse” concerns — the pressure from AI-native competitors trying to disintermediate the CRM layer. Claudeforce is currently in select pilot; the open beta is expected this month, with more skills promised later in 2026. This slots alongside the rundown of the pre-Dreamforce Agentforce agent slate Salesforce shipped days earlier.

The AgentExchange Skills Marketplace is the other half of the commoditization. A companion partner session, “Build Smarter Agents Faster With MCP on AgentExchange,” pitches the ability to “discover and connect MCP tools to Agentforce agents using point-and-click configuration, with no code required.” Theater sessions titled “First Look: AgentExchange Skills Marketplace and AIForce” run September 15 at 1:00 PM PDT and September 17 at 11:00 AM PDT.

The customer proof arrives Wednesday, in a session titled “Batteries Plus Sparked $17 Million Pipeline With AI Agents.” Salesforce credits Batteries Plus and partner Rosetree Solutions with building “an automated top-of-funnel sales engine” that generated $17 million in pipeline. It’s a single case, presented by the vendor, but it’s the kind of case study that shows up in every board deck for the next two quarters.

There’s a longer arc here worth naming. The 2005-era Salesforce AppExchange turned CRM extensibility into a marketplace and made “install, don’t build” the default posture for a decade of sales tooling. AgentExchange is the same move applied to agents, at a moment when custom AI implementations are still the industry’s dominant cost center. If it works, the analytical spine of AI-assisted selling stops being a services engagement and starts being a checkbox.
