Salesforce ships seven
named Agentforce agents,
with Hunter in
pilot until November

The Agentforce portfolio packages sales, service, and pipeline work as pre-configured agents. Hunter, the outbound seller, runs on a new long-horizon runtime and stays in pilot until November 2026.

Salesforce introduced seven named Agentforce agents on September 11, 2026, six of them generally available immediately and one, Hunter, held in pilot until a planned November 2026 general availability. The launch lands four days before Dreamforce 2026 (September 15–17), which tells you most of what you need to know about how Salesforce wants the quarter framed.

The roster is deliberately anthropomorphic. Casey handles customer service across voice, SMS, WhatsApp, and web chat. Paige runs IT and HR requests through Slack, portals, and existing employee tools. Carter is a shopper agent with in-chat checkout. Marshall executes supply-chain work with deterministic logic and an audit record of every action. Piper generates inbound B2B pipeline on websites and in inboxes. Fin, powered by Operator and a custom model set called Fin Apex, runs customer-experience workflows. And Hunter, the outbound seller, runs on a new long-horizon runtime designed to pursue goals across days and weeks rather than single sessions.

Two of those names carry acquisition lineage. Piper originated at Qualified, the San Francisco firm founded in 2018 by former Salesforce executives Kraig Swensrud and Sean Whiteley, which Salesforce acquired in April 2026 for consideration valued at approximately $1.2 billion, of which $954 million was recorded as goodwill and roughly $290 million as intangible assets. Fin came in through the June 2026 agreement to acquire Intercom at approximately $3.6 billion. Salesforce is buying its way into the agent narrative and re-badging what it purchased.

The customer numbers do work here. Perk says Hunter builds 60% of its sales pipeline. Asana reports Piper drove four times the conversation volume, with Piper deployments averaging 45 days. Anthropic resolves 79% of the conversations Fin sees autonomously. Hibbett went live in six weeks and now handles 90% of core shopper journeys through its agent. Engine resolves 50% of its chat inquiries through a help agent (named Eva in this release, Ava in Salesforce’s April 2026 Headless 360 material). Autism Queensland resolves 70% of administrative requests through Paige.

The volume framing is aggressive. Salesforce says 7 billion Agentic Work Units have been delivered across Agentforce and Slack over the past two years, with 3.2 billion in Q2 alone, against the cumulative 2.4 billion disclosed at fourth-quarter fiscal 2026 results in February. A unit Salesforce defines and counts is a unit Salesforce controls.

Worth reading against Salesforce’s own CRMArena-Pro benchmark, published June 10, 2025, covering 19 business tasks and 4,280 query instances: leading language model agents succeeded on 58% of single-turn tasks and 35% of multi-turn ones. Piper’s real gains sit against that honest ceiling. Multi-Agent Orchestration is GA now; AI Skills in Agentforce Coworker and Agent Optimizer target October 2026. Hunter waits until November. The gap between the demo and the runtime is where the next two quarters will be adjudicated.
