The omnichannel marketing platform's newly GA subscriber tool replaces static sign-up rules with real-time behavioral timing — beta brands logged a median 35% lift in welcome-series revenue.

Attentive made AI Grow generally available on August 19, 2026, and pitched it with a specific promise: a median 25% lift in email and SMS sign-ups from traffic brands already have, and a median 35% lift in welcome-series revenue across beta customers. The tool watches real-time on-site behavior and decides when to serve the opt-in, replacing the fixed modal-and-timer logic that has governed e-commerce sign-up flows for the better part of a decade.

The framing is deliberate. Almost every retailer, the release argues, still runs the same modal on the same trigger for every visitor, which is a legibly true statement about a category that hasn’t moved much since the last big shift in browser tracking. AI Grow’s pitch is that the opt-in itself is the highest-value personalization surface a brand owns, because it’s the moment a shopper decides whether there’s a relationship at all.

“AI gives us the opportunity to start personalization earlier — at the moment a shopper decides whether to begin a relationship with a brand,” said Eric Miao, Attentive’s Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Product Officer.

The beta case studies do the heavy lifting. Yankee Candle logged a 52% combined lift in SMS and email subscribers on first deployment and a 20% lift in welcome conversion across both channels in a steady-state test. Clove reported a 19% incremental subscriber lift and a 48% increase in welcome revenue. MANSCAPED captured 2,167 opt-ins during its Super Bowl traffic surge, 5.4x its prior-week daily average, which is the version of the story that matters most to marketers thinking about the eight weeks ahead.

That timing isn’t accidental. CMO Tech News framed the August 20 coverage as pegged to the pre-holiday build cycle, and Attentive’s own July 2026 Consumer Pulse research says 83% of consumers begin planning holiday purchases before Black Friday and 71% plan to start shopping before then. Shipping a subscriber-acquisition tool in mid-August is a bet that the BFCM list is built in September.

Mechanically, the product sits on top of existing rules rather than replacing them. Marketers keep their guidelines; the system runs continuous tests underneath, with performance visible in-platform or in third-party analytics, per MarTech Series. Attentive measures every deployment through incremental, cohort-level A/B testing against the brand’s existing setup, and AI Grow feeds the same identity foundation as AI Journeys and AI Pro. Brand Voice 2.0 shipped earlier this year, and Attentive took the Agentic AI Product/Platform category at the 2026 ADWEEK Tech Stack Awards.

The through-line across all of it’s a category quietly repositioning: from campaign tooling that marketers operate to decisioning systems that operate underneath them. The sign-up modal was the last big surface still governed by human-authored rules. Now it isn’t.
